Is the meteorite real?
Yes. Every Movalor piece is made from genuine Aletai iron meteorite, sourced from the Altay region.
The Widmanstätten pattern you see on each piece is a natural crystalline structure formed over millions of years of slow cooling in deep space. This pattern cannot be artificially replicated or manufactured — its presence is, in itself, evidence of the material’s cosmic origin.
What is the Widmanstätten pattern?
The Widmanstätten pattern is a crystalline structure found only in iron meteorites. It forms when iron and nickel cool extremely slowly — roughly one degree per million years — in the vacuum of space.
Once the meteorite is cut, polished, and etched, this structure becomes visible as intersecting geometric lines across the surface. It cannot be replicated in a laboratory or factory, which is why no two pieces will ever look the same.
Why does each piece look different?
The Widmanstätten pattern is not printed, carved, or applied — it is the internal crystalline structure of the meteorite itself, revealed through cutting and surface treatment. Because the iron-nickel composition varies naturally throughout the material, every cross-section produces a unique pattern. No two cuts will ever be the same, even from the same source meteorite.
This is not a limitation — it is the core of what makes each piece unrepeatable.
Do you provide a certificate of authenticity?
We do not currently provide a third-party certificate with each piece. The Widmanstätten pattern visible on every Movalor pendant is a naturally formed crystalline structure that cannot be replicated or manufactured — it serves as its own proof of meteorite origin.

The Aletai meteorite is an iron meteorite found in the Altay region of northwest China. It is one of the largest documented iron meteorite falls in the world. The material is primarily composed of iron and nickel, and is known for its well-defined Widmanstätten pattern — a crystalline structure visible after cutting and surface treatment.
Aletai meteorite has been studied and catalogued by the international meteorite research community.

How long will shipping take?
We prepare each order by hand, including inspection and packaging. Please allow approximately 5–8 business days for order processing.
Once shipped, delivery times depend on your location:
— United States / Canada: approximately 7–14 business days
— Europe: approximately 7–14 business days
— Australia / rest of world: approximately 10–20 business days
All orders ship via international tracked shipping. You will receive a tracking number once your package is dispatched.
Orders are prepared and shipped internationally from China.
Will my piece look exactly like the photo?
No — and that is intentional. Because each piece is cut from natural meteorite, every pendant carries its own unique pattern, tonal variation, and surface character. The photos on our site represent the general appearance, but your piece will have its own distinct markings. We consider this part of what makes each piece meaningful.

Do you offer returns or exchanges?

Damaged or Defective Items If your item arrives damaged or with a manufacturing defect, please contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos. We will offer a replacement or full refund — no return shipment required.
Because each Movalor piece is made from natural meteorite and every pattern, tone, and surface texture is unique, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. If your item arrives damaged, incorrect, or with a genuine manufacturing defect, please contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos and we will arrange a replacement or full refund.
Non-Returnable Situations We do not accept returns or issue refunds for:
- Natural variation in meteorite pattern, tone, or surface texture — each piece is uniquely formed and no two are alike
- Rust or oxidation resulting from exposure to water, sweat, perfume, or improper storage
- Items returned without prior approval

Is it suitable for people with nickel sensitivity?
Aletai meteorite naturally contains nickel. Our pieces are not recommended for individuals with nickel sensitivity or metal allergies.
ABOUT WEARING & CARE
How should I care for my piece?
Care Instructions
Keep It Dry Meteorite is a natural iron-nickel material. Remove your piece before showering, swimming, or intense workouts. Avoid perfumes, colognes, and harsh chemicals.
Daily Care After wearing, wipe gently with a dry cloth. Store in the gift box with the silica gel packet included when not in use.
Wax Protection Every piece is treated with Renaissance Wax before shipping. A Movalor care jar is included for future re-waxing as needed.
About Patina & Oxidation Raw-finish pieces may develop a subtle patina or slight oxidation over time — this is a natural characteristic of meteorite, not a defect.
If a faint orange or reddish tint begins to appear:
- Clean the area with rubbing alcohol
- Dry fully
- Apply a thin layer of wax and buff smooth
Can I wear it every day?
Yes, with care.
Raw-finish pieces like The Quiet Tag are best suited for dry daily wear — remove before water, sweat, or intense workouts.
Pieces with a protective finish like The Ridge are more resistant, but still require mindful care and dry storage when not in use.
